John is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and recognized expert in security and crisis management. With decades of experience across both military and private-sector security, he brings real-world insight to every assessment, from evaluating threats and vulnerabilities to designing and testing crisis-response strategies.

As one of Securepoint’s original co-founders, John helped shape the company’s approach to practical, on-the-ground protection for journalists and broadcasters. Today, he continues to collaborate with Securepoint through his own security consultancy, providing training, risk assessments, and strategic guidance for complex environments.
